Short Description

The team supports the operations of the University of Campus Infrastructure, Campus Asset Management division, in three core areas - Design Management, Planning and Code Compliance. This position is to assist the team primarily in the planning function. The planning function takes on a campus-wide perspective which defines the scope and implementation details that meet faculty requirements and University's objectives and vision. 


Job Description
  • Assist in the development and refinement of the University’s mechanical and electrical infrastructure implementation planning through reviewing, refining, developing design specifications, guidelines and requirements.
  • Carry out or assist in feasibility study's intended to realize the development potential of land parcels within NUS campuses
  • Review and advise on waivers applied on behalf of the University 
  • Review project proposals and submissions to advise on the scope of works and impact.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering recognized by respective professional body.

  • Registered engineer with the respective professional body or able to be registered

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a consultancy firm doing A&A works to existing buildings or brown field sites

  • Has knowledge in building regulations, international standards, fire safety codes and other technical departments related to building works

  • Able to develop feasibility studies, M&E design and cost estimates for the purpose of budgetary costing.
