Job Description

The Clinical Ethics Network and Research Ethics Support (CENTRES) Programme within the Centre for Biomedical Ethics has been funded by MOH since 2009 to develop clinical and research ethics capabilities in healthcare professionals and specialized ethics committees and is a strategic and valued partner of MOH. CENTRES aims to conduct high-quality learning activities that meet national needs and address emerging ethical issues in medicine such as precision medicine and the appropriate use of AI. 

 

Responsibilities include :
•    Coordinate, plan and manage the administration of the various programmatic activities:
-    Develop expertise in and interpret complex policies and regulations and advise staff, students and Programme Directors accordingly.
-    Create, manage and coordinate the publicity and marketing of our programmes in various media such as print and online.
-    Develop and maintain course websites and Virtual Learning Environment materials.
-    Acting as a first point of contact for applicant and student enquiries, and assist students and applicants with administrative issues relating to their studies.
-    Manage comprehensive and updated records of our programmatic activities including partner and participant details, teacher information, and feedback reports, and organizing it in a user-friendly and effective manner for stakeholders.
-    Service the Programme Committee/ Prepare information on the course for presentation at the Team Leads meeting. 
-    Providing written reports and occasional briefings to the Director, and provide statistical details as requested 
•    Build and maintain an education structure within the Centre to ensure the processes are transparent and applications are tracked:
-    Develop and implement administrative systems to support the effective conduct of our programmes, in line with NUS policies and best practice 
-    Draft and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidance documents to enable effective conduct of our programmes, from admissions to graduation.
•    Explore, analyze and report on ways to effectively make our programmes available to a wider audience
 


Qualifications
  • A degree in any discipline, with at least 5 years’ working experience
  • Able to work occasional weekends and/or evenings to support training programme activities.
  • An excellent communicator (written, verbal and presentation skills), who is sensitive to the needs of stakeholders, and can engage with all organizational levels
  • Able to deliver high quality work in tight timelines, with excellent follow-up and follow-through, including applying learning and experience for continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, and confident using online systems.
