Senior Assistant Manager, Inclusion & Integration

The role is responsible for the continuity and ensuring adequacy of the University’s General Insurance policies.

• Engagement with stakeholders and the Insurance Consultant to identify and assess the risks affecting the business operations and constant review of insurance policies and products inclusive of exploring new policies/products

• Regular review of insurance coverage to ensure exposures for new activity or setup are either insured or drawn to the stakeholders’ attention with mitigation plan

• Identify risk review approach and conduct operational risk review for the University on a periodic basis

• Liaise with broker and staff on all documentation and information required for the settlement of insurance claims and ad-hoc requests

• Provides recommendations to senior management on risks to be insured, limits and coverage

• Updating of website on insurance

Requirements

• A recognised University degree or equivalent

• Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant work experience

• Good understanding of all major insurance policies

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite of products to perform analytical tasks and quantitative modeling to present and support recommendations.

• Ability to work well with multiple competing priorities, manage projects and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated excellent written skills and negotiation skills.
