Research Fellow (Mathematics)

A Research Fellow position is currently available in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS). The candidate will be part of the staff working on the project “Learning of Dynamic Processes and Applications” within the Division of Mathematics and Statistics of the SPMS. This project will develop new methods coming from Geometry, Topology, Dynamical Systems, and Stochastics for the solution of problems in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mechanical Control, and dynamical systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Machine learning of dynamical processes

• Machine learning methods for the study of dynamical systems

• Numerical methods for mechanical systems, variational integrators

• High dimensional methods and numerics for nonlinear systems

Job Requirements

• PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields
