About the Team
The NUS Academy for Healthy Longevity operates as a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary research team led by Prof Andrea B. Maier. Each research project is structured with a Research Fellow as the scientific lead, supported by a Head of Research Operations who works closely with you on day-to-day research activities, and a Research Assistant to support execution. As a Research Fellow, you will lead your primary research project while also contributing your domain expertise to other ongoing studies where relevant. The broader team includes a Head of Partnerships, a procurement specialist, and a communications lead who support the team across institutional relationships, operational logistics, and scientific visibility.
About the Role
The NUS Academy for Healthy Longevity seeks a Research Fellow (post-doc) with a strong epidemiological background. The successful candidate will lead population-level ageing research within our team, leveraging large longitudinal datasets to identify determinants of healthy longevity and generate evidence to inform the design of interventional clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological analyses using large longitudinal cohort datasets to identify biological, clinical, lifestyle, and social determinants of healthy ageing
- Design and conduct observational studies and secondary data analyses in collaboration with the clinical trial team
- Develop and apply statistical models for ageing outcomes including biological age clocks, frailty indices, and multisystem ageing trajectories
- Contribute to the translation of epidemiological findings into clinical trial hypotheses and protocol design
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with national and international epidemiological networks and cohort studies
- Lead and contribute to high-impact publications and grant applications in ageing epidemiology
- Supervise research staff and students involved in data analysis and epidemiological research
