Job Description
The Tropical Marine Science Institute (TMSI) invites applicants for the above posts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Regular field trips onboard a research vessel (may extend outside conventional office hours)
- Field trip planning and preparation
- Water profiling on research vessel using multiparameter optical sensors
- Water quality analysis in the lab using spectrophotometer
- Cell count in the lab under a microscope
- Cell culture and culture maintenance
- Post processing of data collected
- General maintenance of field trip equipment (preventive maintenance, timely calibration)
- General administrative duties (procurement etc.)
Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. The appointment will be for a period of one year and extendable depending upon the candidate’s performance.

Qualifications
- Degree in Marine Science, Science or equivalent
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
