Temporary Research Assistant [LKCMedicine]

A Research Assistant position is available in the research team of Dr. Lo Chih Hung at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct cell culture maintenance and cell-based assays (e.g., human and mouse cell lines)
• Conduct molecular biology and biochemical assays (e.g., Western blots, cloning, DNA gels, DNA/RNA preparation, protein purification etc.)
• Conduct human and mouse tissue immunostaining as well as image acquisition and analysis (e.g., fluorescence microscopy)
• Assist with bioinformatics and computational analysis for single-cell RNA sequencing, single-cell spatial analysis, bulk RNA sequencing and microarray profiling (e.g. Partek Flow, Seurat, ImageJ, HistoCAT, etc.)
• Assist with mouse handling and studies (e.g., genotyping and tissue harvesting)
• Assist in manuscript preparation including data analysis, figure making and literature reviews

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or BSc in biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or related fields
• Prior experiences in cell culture, biochemical assays, or experimental work are desired but not required
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborative working, self-motivated and well organized
