Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Dr. Boxiang Liu on performing snRNA-seq experiment and leveraging functional genomics approaches to understand the molecular mechanisms of type 2 diabetes. 

 

The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Nuclei isolation of adipose tissue.
- Basic snRNA analysis of output data.
- Molecular genetics experiments to identify phenotypic effect of mutant cell lines.
- Small animal (e.g. mouse) work to validate cell line findings. 


Qualifications

• Qualifications / Discipline:  Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant discipline (including biology, immunology, genetics, genomics, medicine, etc)
 
• Skills: Cell/molecular experiment, transcriptomics, genomics, mouse work.
