Manager / Senior Manager, Leadership Giving - 00DMD 



Description

 

Reporting to the Director, Frontline Enablement, at the Development Office in NUS, the individual is responsible for building up the Leadership Giving portfolio and meeting the target set out each year.


The incumbent will be responsible for 2 key activities: -


  • Identify, cultivate and engage fundraising volunteer champions for Class Giving initiatives.

  • Prospect and upgrade Annual Giving donors to Leadership Giving through direct appeals or personal engagement initiatives.

  • Develop digital / online strategies and initiatives.

  • The incumbent is expected to work closely with faculties, halls of residences and alumni and committees to strengthen the overall Leadership Giving.


    Duties & Responsibilities

    Plan and implement strategic framework, workflow processes and standard operating procedures for the Leadership Giving team to work effectively and efficiently with both external and internal stakeholders, including the Alumni Student Advancement Committee (made up of volunteers), Faculties, Halls of Residences and other units within the University.


  • Identify, cultivate, engage, recruit and train alumni volunteer champions to initiate and drive alumni-led fundraising projects. The projects could be based on various platforms such as events (golf tournaments, dinners) and special interest themes (personal appeals, memorials, in honour of).

  • Collaborate with and support alumni volunteer champions and alumni class committees to drive fundraising projects. This could include conceptualising strategy, identifying, researching and engaging prospects, planning and driving publicity, producing marketing collaterals, executing appeals, facilitating gifts and naming, and managing other administrative support.

  • Partnering with Faculties and Halls of Residence to identify projects and cultivate alumni volunteer champions for Class Reunion giving and other alumni-led group giving activities.

  • Plan, execute and manage a range of activities to steward donors under the Alumni Bursary Fund Campaign, such as gift reporting to bursary award donors and donor appreciation events to continually engage donors and alumni volunteer champions.

  • Identify donors through direct appeals and/ or collaboratively drive fundraising projects with alumni volunteer champions to achieve gift revenue targets.

  • Work closely with research team to target and track Leadership Giving performance and reporting for management and key stakeholders.

  • Develop digital/online strategies and initiatives to drive traffic and create awareness.

  • Work with Volunteers and Faculties to increase digital fundraising initiatives.

  • Other ad hoc projects, tasks and duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     


    • Degree from a recognised University.

    • Values philanthropy and a strong desire to contribute to community building/ social course and building a culture of giving back.

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in partnership, sales, marketing roles involving multiple stakeholder engagement; preference for individual with direct fund raising experience.

    • Proactive, energetic personality who enjoys meeting with donors, partners and multi-tasking between partners, various teams and key stakeholders.

    • Pleasant personality with good relationship management and communications skills.

    • Ability to think creatively and strategically with good project management skills.

    • Good knowledge of MS Office.
