Reporting to Head of Systems and Platform, you will be part of highly motivated and passionate IT team to explore, architect and deploy innovative technologies to achieve data centre transformational goals of moving towards a more agile, secure, operational efficient and sustainable organization.

The duties and responsibilities of the Technical Lead include:
•    Identify technology trends and emerging issues that may impact systems infrastructure service delivery and, where necessary, make recommendation on alternative courses of action or to rectify the issue.

•    Analyse, design, plan, enhance and implement hybrid cloud infrastructure, deploy operational and security related tools to address operational and security requirement. 

•    Conduct capacity planning, infrastructure performance analysis and optimization, introduce improvements and enhancement to existing infrastructure and processes.
 
•    Develop infrastructure architecture blueprint, roadmap for implementation, as well as plans for the integration of new systems architecture into existing infrastructure.

•    Lead technical project implementation and oversees the implementation of infrastructure architecture and solution and ensures transition of current operational practices and processes is transformed according to changing business requirement and architecture design change.

•    Collaborate and work with project teams, users and stakeholders to understand their business requirement and IT challenges. Provide technical solution and design best practices. Technical solution will cover a wide spectrum and different level of IT technologies complexity ranging from simple standalone proposal for a suitable physical server with GPU, storage requirement to complex solution design and proposal for software solution implementation and deployment on multi-tier virtualization and hybrid platform taking into consideration the regulatory, security, cost and sustainability consideration.

•    Plan procurement schedule, develop technical requirement specifications and carry out procurement activities to ensure required services, hardware and software is procured successfully and timely. 

•    Technically competent and hands on to be able to setup POC and eventual production implementation and integration on new technologies.
 

• A relevant university degree with at least 12 years of relevant working experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant experiences as infrastructure architecture and/or technical lead in providing solution and participate in infrastructure design and deployment projects.
• Knowledgeable of various cloud, network, compute, storage, containers, security tools, automation tools technologies, as well as cloud computing models and services.
• Good technical knowledge and hands-on experience in at least one or more of the following technologies:
  • Linux and/or Windows Operating systems administration.
  • High availability and clustering solution.
  • Systems related security, automation and operational tools.
  • VMware virtualize and public cloud administration.
  • Storage and backup.
  • Containers.
• Strong understanding of IT related services, processes and the governance that encompassed them.
• A fast learner and a good team player with passion to apply technology to solve business problems.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail with the ability to deep dive when required. Able to priorities what technologies and services have more significance in the infrastructure over others and understanding and defining the technology stack.
• Able to adopts an analytical and strategic thinking approach to developing innovating infrastructure design that meets business requirements. 
• Process strong communication and interpersonal skills able to communicate with various level of stakeholders.
• Able to prepare presentation slides, proposal and present well on the solution to various level of stakeholders.
