The Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions (BISI) is a research centre that aims to improve population health and well-being by accelerating evidence-based practice through the use of behavioural and implementation science. 

 

We are seeking a dynamic, highly-organised, and forward-thinking individual to teach and provide support for the Masters of Science in Behavioural and Implementation Sciences in Health (MScBIS) programme and BISI’s Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses. This includes being involved in curriculum design, programme coordination, logistics planning, student recruitment, and programme administration processes – work distribution will be roughly 80% MScBIS and 20% CET.

 


Job Description

This position is for BISI. The candidate will

For MScBIS:

  • Assist with the teaching of MScBIS courses.
  • Assist with the curation of teaching and learning materials for the MScBIS.
  • Grade students’ assignments and tests and provide them with timely feedback.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to create a comprehensive and holistic curriculum for the MScBIS.
  • Work closely with program administrators to ensure effective and efficient operation of the MScBIS.
  • Assist with the admission process of the MScBIS, including application review, candidate selection, and registration.
  • Assist marketing efforts for the MScBIS (e.g., liaising with collaterals designer).
  • Actively engage with NUSMed Comms, SCALE, and other related departments to ensure timely and effective publicity of the MScBIS.
  • Update BISI website on relevant information related to the MScBIS.
  • Provide comprehensive support to MScBIS students by addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with program administrators to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the MScBIS. These include classroom booking, course scheduling using CIMS, and Canvas support for academic staff.
  • Assist with the management of MScBIS-related documentation, including student records and academic materials involving collation and dissemination of learning materials.
  • Assist the assessment and tracking of student performance, graduation, and alumni relations.

For CET Courses:

  • Assist with the teaching of CET courses.
  • Assist with the curation of teaching and learning materials for the CET courses.
  • Assist with CET administration, logistics, and operations, where required.
  • Assist marketing efforts for the CET courses (e.g., liaising with collaterals designer).
  • Provide comprehensive support to CET course participants by addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Update BISI website on relevant information related to CET courses.

Others:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of BISI’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties that are required by BISI Leadership.

Role Requirements

Job Relevant Education or Certification (minimum required):

  • A Master’s Degree in a Science, Social Science (e.g., Psychology), Healthcare, Education, or related field; or
  • A MBBS (or equivalent medical degree)

 

Job Relevant Experience or Attributes:

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Working style that is inclusive, respectful and involved
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work flexibly and cooperatively in a team
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines without close supervision
  • Working experience in healthcare, research or consulting will be an advantage

Job Specific Technical Requirements (if any):

  • Technologically savvy and proficient in Zoom and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with STATA, nVivo, SPSS are advantages
  • Experience in performing or instructing on qualitative interviews, quantitative analysis, data visualization and evaluations will be an advantage
