Job Description

The incumbent will act as the Programme Manager for three MSc programmes at the Department of Mathematics in response to the Programmes' rapid expansion. The dedicated person will help to ensure the smooth delivery of the three sought-after self-financing programmes and ensure their service standard. By working with the Programme Directors and Dean's Office at the Faculty of Science, he/she will manage the Programmes' end-to-end administration including admission, job placement, alumni relations, and other related portfolios. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -

  • Work closely with Programme Director(s) and Dean's Office, to take charge of the overall administration of the collaborative NUS-Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) MSc in Quantitative Finance programme throughout the student lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Programme Director, faculty members and Dean's Office to manage the programmes' admission cycles and day-to-day operation to upkeep the programmes' quality.
  • Act as the contact point to cultivate the Programmes' alumni relations and enhance the community cohesion, aligned with Programmes' overall branding strategy.
  • Support the other two large scale MSc programmes at the Department during their admission exercise.
  • Take charge of the event management and other general administration for the Department's two Centres.
  • Provide other programme-related administrative support.

Qualifications/Requirements/Other Info

• Degree from a recognized university, postgraduate degree preferred.

• Programme management experience, preferably 2+ years of experience as programme coordinator and partnership development in the higher education sector.

• Organizational skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Networking and event management skills.

• Motivated, self-starter with ability to contribute to strategic planning, and perform duties independently.

- Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies. 

- The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
