Job Description

You will perform the work of Usher with the NUS Centre For the Arts. Your duties will include: - 
- Perform essential ushering duties such as greeting, directing, and seating patrons. 
- Checking tickets or other modes of admission, checking the auditorium areas before and after events, and miscellaneous light duties. 
- Enforce house rules and address situations in a professional manner. 
- Act on all feedback in a prompt and appropriate manner. 
- Ensure the safety of patrons by flagging any dangerous or unsafe practice that could pose as a hazard. 


Qualifications


- Able to communicate fluently in English. 
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with limited lighting, loud music, steep stairs. 
- Able to climb stairs and stand throughout an event – approx. 3 – 4 hours at a time. 
- Service-oriented, team player, patient, and proactive.
