Job Description

The Associate/ Principal Engineer (Interreality Technology) will be working in the dynamic and vibrant team, Interreality Technology, under the Application Architecture team in NUS IT. The candidate will report to the Associate Director of the team, focusing on the development of state-of-the-art applications, in the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge technology for teaching and learning as well as strategic enterprise projects primed for the upcoming metaverse.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical requirements to design and develop robust IT solutions for related developments in Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality/Artificial Intelligence applications
  • Leverage on new technologies, design and develop innovative solutions in compliance with enterprise IT policies and security guidelines 
  • Perform IT architecture design for system integration and application development
  • Manage end-to-end multiple projects concurrently and coordinate its interdependencies 
  • Derive and produce technical strategies in implementation to achieve efficient deployment of faculty teaching and learning requirements

Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Sciences, Game Design, Multimedia Information Systems, Interactive Media or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experiences including functional lead role in software development, design, change management and application implementation
  • Excellent understanding of software development life cycle
  • Good programming mileage in #C or C++ in development environments using Unity 3D and/or Unreal 3D
  • Passionate about managing development of IT Systems and Applications and is technically savvy, with an appreciation for new media and technologies.
  • Knowledge and awareness in domains of emerging technologies like immersive technologies and metaverse are highly-regarded
