Job Description

The 3D Engineer will be working in the dynamic and vibrant team, Interreality Technology, under the Application Architecture Tower in NUS IT. He/She will report to the Associate Director of the team, focusing on the development of state-of-the-art applications, in the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge technology for teaching and learning as well as strategic enterprise projects primed for the upcoming metaverse.

•    Design end-to-end 3D immersive digital user experiences for coherence, unified, and active engagement for users of IT applications in the design team
•    Provide cutting-edge, creative, practical yet scalable designs in user interfaces of all IT applications
•    Transform design specifications into functional game elements that can contribute to 3D assets, spatial audio and animation design in the authoring environments
•    Provide video editing, animation, 3D modeling designs, and play an integrated graphic artist role for IT application development team
•    Communicate effectively to stakeholders and users in video media creation or other modes of interactive presentation
 


Qualifications

•    Diploma or Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, 3D Animation/Interaction Design, Game Development or Computer Sciences or Human-Computer-Interaction equivalent
•    Minimum 1 to 3 years experiences including functional role as Game Designer and/or 3D Artist in software development 
•    Ability to translate immersive, user-centered experiences into visuals storyboards, user narratives and UI / UX design
•    Experience in designer/artist role for virtual, augmented, mixed realities using authoring development software like Unity 3D, Unreal 3D 
•    Skills in 3D modelling software like Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Pixologic Zbrush, Substance Painter is a must
•    Excellent knowledge in graphics editing software like Figma and Adobe Creative suite, including DX, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Pro After Effects is a plus
•    Working knowledge in mobile application design UX in both iOS and Android environments is an added advantage
•    Any relevant exposure in creative or design industry especially for 3D immersive virtual environments
