Position available within the research project entitled: Renewable Energy based seasonal Storage Technology  in Order to Raise Environmental sustainability of DHC(RESTORE), HORIZON 2020, project number 101036766 

Relevant expertise in environmental evaluation and LCA methodology  using tools such as LCA for experts (GaBi software), as well as in computer aided process engineering using chemical simulation tools (ChemCAD, Aspen, Matlab/Simulink, etc.) and power engineering tools (i.e., IPSE Pro/Go), general knowledge about thermochemical storage (TCS), Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and heat pumps (HP), decarbonization of  district heating and cooling systems(DHC).

Skills/Qualifications

PhD student with relevant expertise in computer aided process engineering using chemical simulation tools (ChemCAD, Aspen, Matlab/Simulink, etc.), power engineering (IPSE Pro/Go) and environmental evaluation based on LCA methodology, general knowledge about thermo-chemical storage (TCS), Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and heat pumps (HP), decarbonization of  district heating and cooling systems(DHC).


Specific Requirements

- Environmental evaluation using LCA methodology

- Deep knowledge of TCS, ORC, HP, DHC systems

- Computer aided chemical engineering

- Expertise in environmental evaluation using LCA for experts (GaBi) software

-Expertise in computer aided process engineering using chemical simulation tools (ChemCAD, Aspen, Matlab/Simulink, etc.) and power engineering tools (IPSE Pro/Go)
