Call for candidates for a position of teaching and research associate professor in the Department of 19th century History, Faculty of History, University of Warsaw
Full-time employment planned for two years.
Planned gross basic salary: PLN 5400 gross per month.
Employment is possible from 1 September 2024.
Description of responsibilities
1. Conducting scholarly research in the field of history and publishing results, also internationally.
2. Teaching duties per academic year: 210 hours. The successful candidate will teach courses on the History of Poland; Universal History; Auxiliary Sciences of History, as well as courses on Academic Writing, and the Introduction to Historical Research.
3. Applying for external research funding (e.g. from the NCN).
4. Willingness to perform assigned organizational functions in the Faculty of History.

1.Specialization in the history of 19th century Poland or universal history
2.Ph.D. degree in the field of history obtained within the last 7 years.

Selection procedure:
Application deadline: 13 March 2024.
The results will be announced by the 12 April 2024, and candidates will be informed by e-mail.
The search procedure may include interviews with the chosen candidates and a public lecture intended to test the candidates' teaching skills.
The search procedure follows the procedure determined in the Statute of the University of Warsaw and the relevant rules of the University of Warsaw and Faculty of History.
