Skills/Qualifications
  • A postdoctoral degree (dr. hab.) in the discipline of archaeology.
  • Research experience (evidenced by publications) in ancient numismatics and the archaeology of European Barbaricum.
  • Knowledge of the Polish language at a level which makes it possible to teach.
  • Fluency in at least one congress' language.
  • Teaching experience.
  •  


    Specific Requirements

    Additional advantages:

  • Experience in conducting fieldwork with student participation.
  • Experience in directing research projects.
  •                                       

    Duties:

    • conducting independent scientific research in the discipline of archaeology, including the publication of scientific texts,
    • submitting project proposals to relevant research funding institutions and scientific grants (NCN, MEiN, etc.),
    • active participation in national and international conferences and seminars,
    • teaching duties of 210 hours per year,
    • participation in the organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops organized by members of the Chair,
    • carrying out other activities assigned by the Head of the Department or the Dean.

  • A copy of PhD diploma or certificate from the relevant unit confirming the award of doctor's degree.
  • Scientific Curriculum Vitae.
  • Publication record submitted together with PDF copies of five most important publications.
  • A personal questionnaire (bsp.adm.uw.edu.pl/bsp/druki-i-formularze);
  • 1 photograph.
  • Candidate's declaration confirming that he/she has read and accepted the rules
    for conducting competitions for the position of an academic teacher.
  • Information on the processing of personal data including a consent clause.

  • Selection process

    Applications will be considered by the Recruitment Committee appointed by the Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw. The Commission may invitate selected candidates for appointment.
