The position is a part of the Norwegian Research Centre for Sustainable Solar Cell Technology (FME-SUSOLTECH). The Centre coordinates the major research groups and important industry partners in the PV sector in Norway and is partly funded by the Research Council of Norway. The main objective is to give current and future companies in the Norwegian PV industry long-term access to world

leading technological and scientific expertise.

In the current position you will be working with ion-beam methods for characterization of impurities in silicon and other relevant materials. The main technique will be SIMS, while some part of the activity can be dedicated to RBS/channeling, ERDA and PIXE. 

You will be part of the Centre for Materials Science and Nanotechnology, and associated with the Research group for Semiconductor Physics. The group operates the Micro and Nanotechnology laboratory (MiNaLab) at UiO, which is among the largest single experimental facilities at UiO and part of the national infrastructure project NorFab (Norwegian Micro- and Nanofabrication facility).
