We’re looking for a Research Scientist/Senior Research Scientist with a PhD or Master’s degree in process metallurgy. Or perhaps you have relevant qualifications or experience in metals production? Perhaps you also have expertise in modelling or thermodynamics and practical experience from the industry or experimental laboratory work? If so, then we believe that you can join our team – and together make a difference!

• investigate metallurgical processes involving silicon, ferroalloys, steel and other metals
• develop circular processes that promote optimal materials utilisation
• organise and lead Norwegian and international research projects 
• transform the industry's current challenges into practical and sustainable solutions
• work closely with other skilled researchers, engineers and technicians with the aim of optimising existing production methods and, of course, developing new and innovative ones
• administer globally-recognised laboratories that offer opportunities for experimental work both at lab and pilot scales
• analyse, report and publish your research results
