About the job

Department of Manufacturing and Civil Engineering at Faculty of Engineering , Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), has a vacancy for a professor/associate professor in Manufacturing Automation at campus Gjøvik.

The campus is located 120 km North of Oslo. This is an area known for housing many manufacturing companies. Auto parts manufacturing, and the wood processing industry are extremely important to the area.


The Department participates in several research centers, including SFI Manufacturing which is a cross-disciplinary center for research-based innovation for competitive high value manufacturing in Norway. With respect to the wood process industry, NTNU participates in several research programs focusing on new advanced production processes and sustainable manufacturing.

The selected candidate is expected to conduct research in cooperation with national and international academic institutes, research centers and companies.

You will report to the Head of Department.
