About the position

Molde University College announces a postdoctoral fellowship in Health Care Logistics and Digital Technologies of two years duration.

Health logistics is an important part of HiMolde’s focus areas. The Faculty of Logistics is currently engaged in several ongoing research initiatives pertaining to both primary and specialized healthcare services. The primary objective of these research projects is to utilize new digital technologies in order to enhance logistics operations and foster the establishment of a more sustainable healthcare sector. This necessitates close collaboration with relevant stakeholders, thereby underscoring the importance of the applicant possessing publications related to the healthcare sector and service research or having engaged in close collaboration with Norwegian hospitals.
Presently, the local hospital is in the process of constructing a new hospital, referred to as SNR (Sykehuset i Møre og Romsdal). The post-doctoral position at hand is directly linked to the project entitled "Logistics for the Future: Innovative Process Design for Optimal Patient Flow at Clinic SNR" within the healthcare organization situated in Møre og Romsdal. The overarching objective of this project is to develop and implement digital technologies that can be effectively utilized at SNR.


Qualifications

In order to be considered for the position, it is required that the applicant possesses a master’s and doctoral degree in logistics, with a specific focus on the application of artificial intelligence within the Norwegian healthcare sector. Furthermore, particular emphasis will be placed on the applicant's research contributions in the domain of health logistics and digital technologies, as well as their publications within this field. The language requirements for the position are fluency in English. We will also emphasize personal qualities.


We offer

The place of work is Molde, Norway.  The position will normally be remunerated on wage level 61-64 on the Norwegian State salary scale, with gross salary NOK 594 500-624 500 a year, of which 2 % is deducted for the Norwegian State Pension Fund. A higher salary may be considered for especially qualified candidates. The appointment will be in accordance with current Norwegian regulations concerning fixed-term jobs in the public sector and guidelines for employment as a postdoctoral fellow at universities and university colleges.
