Applicants are invited for a 4 year 50% position as Postdoctoral Fellow in colorectal cancer screening and gastroenterology based at the Clinical effectiveness research group , Department of Health Management and Health Economics , Institute of Health and Society , Faculty of Medicine , University of Oslo .

The Clinical Effectiveness Research group is approaching different topics in clinical effectiveness of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. The group is responsible for randomized trials related to colorectal cancer screening and gastrointestinal endoscopy. Further, epidemiologic studies on mammography and quality improvement of clinical service are conducted.

The postdoctoral fellow will work at the Clinical Effectiveness Research group, Department of Health Management and Health Economics, Institute of Health and Society, University of Oslo, in cooperation with Oslo University Hospital, Oslo, Norway. The research area is colonoscopy, colorectal polyps and colorectal cancer screening. The position will be part of a research team dedicated to the area of research within the research group. The main purpose of the fellowship is to qualify researchers for work in higher academic positions within their disciplines.

• Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in medicine, with clinical experience (preferably gastroenterology)
• Applicants should have knowledge and expertise in clinical epidemiology and handling of large databases
• Applicants must be proficient in colonoscopy and polypectomy and be experienced in the fields of colorectal cancer screening and polyp surveillance
• Applicants should have a strong CV, experience in clinical medicine, with methodological expertise, an outstanding potential and genuine interest in clinical epidemiology, data analysis tools and translational research
• Experience from analyzing longitudinal data sets is valuable
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English 

• Salary NOK 604 900 – 692 400 per annum depending on qualifications in position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow (position code 1352)
