We are looking for an Associate Professor within the field of surface and colloid chemistry at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The position will be based within Ugelstad Laboratory – the group of Surface, Colloid and Polymer chemistry.

Ugelstad Laboratory covers a wide range of fundamental and applied research within surface, colloid and polymer chemistry. The group is active within topics such as characterisation of complex fluids and interfaces, surfactants and biopolymers, particle synthesis, gas flotation and multiphase flow in porous media.

The research in the group is primarily experimental, but also includes modelling work. Unique instrumentation has been built up at Ugelstad Laboratory, most recently universal microfluidic platforms for advanced studies of interfacial phenomena and preparation of colloidal dispersions. The laboratory has a strategy to strengthen its capability to develop and use microfluid methods in preparation and analysis of colloidal systems and interfacial properties. Applicants should have expertise in surface and colloid chemistry and dispersion-based microfluidic methods. Furthermore, they should have ability to teach fundamental courses in chemical engineering.

You will report to the Head of Department.
