About the position

NHH in Bergen, Norway, invites applications to a full-time assistant professor position at the Department of Strategy and Management . The position is within the field of organisational psychology. The position is linked to the academic research group of leadership, which is an interdisciplinary group from fields such as leadership, social and organisational psychology, and organisational behaviour. We are seeking candidates with an ambitious research agenda within the following research topics, but not restricted to: leadership in modern organisations, decision-making and risk taking, team and team management, social identity, cooperation and pro-social behaviour, and negotiation and conflict management. The position is a temporary appointment for a period of four years.

You will be part of a strong and supportive team of researchers dedicated to producing research with an international outreach in high-ranked publication outlets. Regardless of whether you excel in conducting quantitative or qualitative research or pursue more process-intensive approaches, being part of this research team will provide you access to leading Scandinavian private and public organisations, and national register databases.

Employment requires a Ph.D. in business administration or adjacent fields. We encourage candidates with a background in social and organisational psychology, leadership, and organisational behaviour to apply. Candidates should have completed a doctoral degree from a well-recognised Ph.D. program and be able to document a strong publication pipeline. Experience in teaching is a strength, but not a requirement, as NHH offers pedagogical training to prepare faculty for an all-round career in academia. The appointee must take one basic module of the programme for university pedagogy in the course of the fixed-term period.

The salary will be negotiable within the Norwegian State Salary Scale for assistant professors.

In Norway, health care for all individuals, schooling for children and most other public services are free.
