We are currently seeking a talented all rounder to join the Te Ara Oranga team, supporting our Māori and Pasifika health students. Manukau Institute of Technology has a full time 2 year fixed term opportunity for a passionate and engaging individual to work with the Te Ara Oranga Project.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Fixed Term TAO Health Workforce Assistant.

E pā ana ki te tūranga , Tuanga tatara i te angaanga, About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Programme Manager and assisting with the planning and coordination of meetings and events in relation to the Te Ara Oranga project.

Key duties this role will be responsible for:

  • Support the Project Manager with scheduling diary commitments, including taking minutes at meetings.
  • Produce, format and finalize documents, as advised by Project Manager.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of TAO student database
  • Assist in monitoring and responding to TAO social media accounts.
  • Utilize the Student Management System and Salesforce to monitor and track TAO registrations and student lists, and provide student details to Project Manager as requested.
  • Assist the Te Ara Oranga team with general administrative tasks. (including mail merges to students and monitoring TAO mail boxes

  • Proven experience (at least 3+ years) providing efficient, effective secretarial & administrative support.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Full drivers' licence
  • Confidence in Te Ao Maaori and/or Pasifika world views an advantage
