Te mahi/The role

We are looking for experienced systems specialists to join our team. Our systems specialists work in small nimble teams in our tier-3 support desk, across a range of systems in each of our product portfolios.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong information systems background, a proactive mindset, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to adapt to changing technology and business requirements.

We currently have vacancies in our Facilities systems portfolio. As a Systems Specialist and a Senior Systems Specialist, you will:
•    Provide technical skills around the systems in your portfolio, including troubleshooting issues and monitoring performance.
•    Work closely with clients and vendors to facilitate software upgrades and resolve problems.
•    Collaborate with our customers to help them achieve their objectives, while capturing continual improvement opportunities.
•    Mentor other systems specialists around you and enable others to grow and learn across the systems in your specialist domain. 
•    Stay current on industry trends and new technologies in the research or facilities space and make recommendations for improvement and innovation.
•    Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials for end-users and internal technology teams.
•    Be a great communicator, committed to providing excellent customer service and work well in a team environment.

Kā pūkeka me kā wheako/Your skills and experience

Ideally, you will have considerable experience in a role involving the management and administration of information systems, including: 
•    A passion for delivering great outcomes to our clients across our systems.
•    A keen ability to solve complex problems and deliver continuous improvement. 
•    A demonstratable information systems generalist skillset.
•    Proven information system administration skills and the ability to translate requirements into documented and managed change.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to work with stakeholders across the organisation.
•    The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

We have two permanent, full-time (1.0FTE) positions available, located in Dunedin.
