This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional to join one of the premium South Island employers.

The role/Te mahi

As Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will report directly to the Hospitality Supervisor, University of Otago Union and oversee a diverse hospitality operation.  
Your key responsibilities will include:

•    The successful management of the Staff Club Café & Events team.
•    Proactively engaging with University Departments to build strong relationships and create new business opportunities.
•    Ensuring that all Hospitality Services exceed the expectations of our clients.
•    Build and develop a highly motivated high performing hospitality team.
•    Ensuring that all aspects of our services embrace and implement the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the University’s Māori and Pacific Strategic Frameworks.

This position will suit a person with significant hospitality management experience. You will have demonstrated leadership qualities and significant experience in managing similar venues. Excellent people and relationship management skills are an absolute must.

•    Experience working in a similar environment/role.
•    Demonstrated commercial acumen and strong customer service ethic.
•    Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.

This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) position, located in Dunedin with weekend and evening work required.

The appointment range for this position is $33.27 to $34.67 per hour.
