Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka | Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Solution Architect & Analyst to join our Te Pūmanawa Tāngata | Human Resources team. This is a varied role supporting the wider HR team to improve recruitment systems, processes, and HR Technology system change.

In this role you will work collaboratively with members of the wider team, subject matter experts, and other teams and business groups to ensure the successful implementation of assigned project workstreams, including:

Key responsibilities:

  • Offer comprehensive guidance on solution architecture direction and oversight for meeting solution requirements, aiding in the evaluation of solution alternatives during procurement, and facilitating the design and delivery process for both internal and external solutions, with consideration for the broader integrated systems landscape.
  • Ensure that the Supplier's and internal technical team's approach to design and delivery aligns with maintaining the robust management and integrity of the solution architecture throughout the delivery process, including the incorporation of approved variations.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and team members, to ensure that solution designs adhere to their respective organizations' solution design and engineering standards.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

As the lead Solution Architect & Analyst for our Recruitment Implementation Project, you're not only responsible for designing solutions but also for influencing the current and future landscape of recruitment innovation. Additionally, you'll provide support in project planning, requirements gathering, team leadership, and facilitating seamless stakeholder communication.

Key Requirements: 

  • At least a decade of experience in HR/Recruitment implementation projects or Oracle implementation projects.
  • Proficiency in solution design and delivery.
  • Expertise in analysis, design, configuration, debugging, and configuration modification.
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence others to adopt desired behaviours, processes, and approaches for achieving goals.
  • Strong ability to cultivate enduring relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in HR environments and working with people data is beneficial.
