Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
UC's exciting and innovative digital screen enterprise has an opportunity for a Site Operations Manager to assist in the design, development and fit-out of the digital screen programme's specialist facilities. You will be responsible for scheduling, operation, maintenance and support of all the specialist facilities, both educational and commercial. A strong focus of the role is collaborating with pan-University stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the academic programme and acting as the central point of contact for relevant technical support providers. You will also maintain strong working relationships with commercial stakeholders to ensure a high delivery of services and realisation of the commercial revenue targets.

Our exciting new digital specialist facilities include: recording studios, edit suites, VFX suites, colour grading suites, a foley stage, sound stages, orchestral scoring stages, and pre- and post-production facilities.

Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive facility management experience preferably within the film, television and/or interactive media sectors, and have:

  • facility management tools, processes and techniques skills.
  • experience in a fast-paced project management role
  • demonstrated ability to develop and implement action plans, strategies, and procedures
  • experience leading a team including ability to lead change
  • report writing skills to develop and deliver succinct project plans and schedules
  • an understanding of the higher education environment, as well as the current and emerging screen industries environment, is an advantage.
  • business acumen with strategic ability and budgetary or financial management experience
  • sales, fundraising and marketing experience in the areas of film, television and or game development
  • first-class interpersonal and communications skills including public speaking.
