This is an exciting, permanent full time opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic individual with a passion for inspiring secondary school students and building strong connections across the local communities.

As part of the Schools and Community team, you will be the face of MIT in our secondary schools and community across the greater Auckland region. Recruiting students to MIT through the promotion of the institute, its programmes and the career pathways after study, with particular emphasis on school leavers, Maori and Pasifika.

Bring your excellent communication, presentation skills and creative flair to our talented team!

We are looking for someone who is:

  • You are passionate about empowering young people to succeed in their chosen profession.
  • You'll inspire, energise and engage.
  • You thrive on achieving targets and goals and have an understanding of the transition from Secondary Schools to Tertiary Education.
  • You are a motivated self-starter, who thrives on working within a high performing team.
  • You have demonstrable experience in supporting Secondary school students, and pastoral/ cultural support to learners.
  • Have relevant experience in tertiary education and/or another similar organisation.
  • Stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Be able to work some evenings and weekends as required.
  • Have a full current driver's licence.
