The role/Te mahi

We're looking for a Programme Manager to take charge of a multi-year initiative driving organisational change. Reporting to the Head of Transformation and Improvement, you'll lead a team coordinating University-wide changes and ensuring the programme’s success. 

Your role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, crafting strategies, maintaining delivery plans, and monitoring progress. 

It's crucial to align with the University's vision, manage stakeholder expectations, prioritise tasks, and uphold effective communication throughout.

We are looking for an experienced and savvy project/programme management practitioner, with previous experience in leading the delivery of organisation-wide programmes.

About our Team/Mō te tīma

Transformation and Improvement focuses on enhancing business processes and implementing significant, impactful change initiatives. Our emphasis is on fostering change, innovation, and improvement across the University community, ensuring excellence in both work and study environments.

Transformation and Improvement is made up of three distinct areas of expertise:
Continuous Improvement Team:
Focussing on continuous improvement, process automation, service design, innovation/ideation, and process management.

Business Case Development:
Focussing on the development of business cases that are robust, compelling and allow for informed investment decisions.

Strategic Programme Delivery Unit:
Focussing on the delivery of programmes, typically enterprise wide, which have large change impacts for the University.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours), fixed term (2 year) position, located in Dunedin.

We offer 5 weeks’ annual leave, a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and the ability to achieve real work/life balance.

Base salary of up to $108,132. Total compensation subject to negotiable bonus.
