Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Principal Organisational Development Adviser on a permanent, full-time contract. As a Principal (OD) Adviser, your portfolio includes Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) with the strategic initiative for Anti Racism. Operating as an advocate and role model, you will be responsible for providing advice and leading university-wide EDI initiatives.
To achieve in this role, you will:
- Establish coaching and mentoring relationships within our OD Team.
- Lead the work of the Anti-Racism initiative.
- Provide relevant and strategic advice across the University.
- Build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
In essence, this will involve building community, bringing people together to effect change, and evaluating progress towards a positive, inclusive culture.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
To deliver in this role you will be able to draw from a strong specialist knowledge of how to apply equity, diversity, and inclusion principles and best practice.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in OD disciplines either directly or indirectly.
- Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing strategic solutions that positively contribute to the experience of staff.
- Experience of successful coaching relationships.
- Extensive and proven successful project management experience.
