Our team is growing! We are looking for a Planning and Insights Advisor to join our Rotorua based team.

Scion is a Crown Research Institute that specialises in scientific research and technology development for forestry, wood products, wood-derived materials, and other biomaterial sectors. The Role

This role will support the Planning and Insights Manager in the co-ordination of effective organisation wide business planning processes, together with the development and production of meaningful metrics and analytics. Business analyst expertise and the ability to build relationships, understand business needs, and communicate complex information effectively to a variety of audiences will be required to be successful in this role. Importantly you will have a sound understanding of data, data management and data automation, with the ability to support our focus on Impact capture and measurement.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications or significant experience
  • Significant coordination experience in a complex business planning environment
  • Demonstratable capability in Project, Programme, and Portfolio Management (P3M), specifically in in relation to planning, and the production of related insight analytics.
  • Proven experience in the production of effective dashboard reporting, including the ability to communicate complex information effectively to a variety of audiences, and enable decision making.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and relationship development skills.
  • The ability to translate and work between a research or operational environment and a corporate enabling environment.
  • Sound understanding of data, data management and data automation.
  • High quality written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reporting and analytical systems.
