MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS ADVISOR

Fixed Term - To June 2023

Scion are celebrating 75 years of excellence and have multiple events and activities on our calendar over the next few months. Our team needs support to deliver some key Marketing and Communications projects during this period. This will be an exciting but fast paced role to support the Senior Marketing and Communications Advisor to deliver internal communication to support internal projects, external communications and events.

Key accountabilities:

  • Support the Senior Marketing and Communications Advisor with the delivery of events during this time.
  • Identify and write stories for communications channels for both internal and external audiences.

Work closely with staff to update and maintain SharePoint and website pages.

  • Contribute thinking and support for ongoing internal and external communications initiatives.
  • Coordinate and/or complete delivery of activities that leverage Scion's sponsorship of events.

We seek a communications professional who has:

  • Experience with event delivery.
  • Superb writing skills demonstrated with published examples.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with a mix of staff.
  • A can-do attitude and team player, someone who loves being involved and is happy to jump in and lend a hand.
  • Understanding of Māori tikanga (customs) and kawa (protocol) highly desirable.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented focus.
  • A knack for problem solving and being able come up with bespoke solutions.
  • Ability to work proactively, prioritise and manage individual workload.
  • Happy to work after-hours on occasion for event set-up and break down.
