Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Actively guide and support the implementation of Te Rautaki Māori and the UC Pacific Strategy in library services and spaces.

Implement internal policy and processes in relation to Māori and Pacific services and collections to meet the needs of learners, academics, and researchers.

Lead the operational delivery of UC Library's Māori and Pacific services to students, academics, and researchers both in person and online.

As you will be supporting library kaimahi in Māori and Pacific roles, it's important that you have a collaborative leadership style and enjoy building positive and productive working relationships.

Mōu | Who You Are
Experience working in libraries in a specialist or leadership role is preferred. However experience in the education, health or NGO sector would also be considered.

You have experience working alongside Māori and Pacific communities. You understand Māori cultural values, perspectives, and tikanga and/or Pacific cultural values and perspectives.

You understand Māori and Pacific teaching and learning pedagogies. You ideally speak te reo or a Pacific language.

You understand Te Tiriti and the implications and responsibilities for libraries.
