The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law is seeking a teaching path  lecturer able to teach law subjects, aligned to its needs as a strong provider of tertiary education in Auckland, New Zealand.

This is an opportunity for someone with relevant tertiary education and professional experience with a minimum of an LLM qualification.

This role will be located within the AUT Law School. You'll teach across programmes as agreed with the Head of School/Department. We embrace innovative practice-led, as well as research-informed, approaches to teaching where the student experience is optimised and technology-engaged.

We welcome applications from candidates with evidence of excellence in tertiary level teaching. You will be committed to ensuring course learning objectives are achieved. You will also need to take an active role in the development and enhancement of courses you teach. You will also be expected to contribute to Departmental/School/Faculty/University activities.

Key Requirements for the Role

  • Minimum of an LLM post graduate qualification
  • Previous tertiary-level teaching experience in law
  • Knowledge and experience with teaching and learning technologies (e.g. Canvas)
  • A flexible, collaborative, open and engaging attitude able to adapt to changing teaching requirements

Start Date: Ideally the successful candidate will start immediately.

Salary Range: $78,000 - $92,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
