Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Corporate Financial Law in the Faculty of Law (Ref.: 526240), to commence on August 1, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of the second three-year fixed-term contract. Suitably qualified applicants may be considered for direct tenure.

Applicants should normally have a first degree in Law (e.g. LLB, BA (Jurisprudence) and JD), and an additional postgraduate degree in Law (e.g. LLM, PhD, D Phil and SJD). Those who do not have an additional postgraduate degree in Law are also encouraged to apply if there is evidence of a strong publication record and relevant experience in teaching, legal practice or the judiciary, or if they possess a postgraduate degree in a non-law discipline. Applicants for Professorship should be outstanding academics with an international reputation as leaders in their field. Applicants for Associate Professorship should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and research. Applicants for Assistant Professorship should be academically strong and demonstrate potential for excellence as teachers and researchers.

The appointee will be expected to make a significant contribution to the Faculty’s research profile, by producing high-quality research and actively participating in research communities. A proven track record in research on areas related to digital economy and sustainability issues will be an advantage. He/she will also be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching on the Faculty’s undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes (including the Juris Doctor degree programme). The appointee will be responsible for the research, teaching and development of courses in corporate financial law.
