Te āheinga: The opportunity

This is a full-time permanent salaried position, working 37.5 hours per week. 

We seek a person with passion and experience for teaching Supply Chain & Logistics and related subjects at our beautiful Mt Albert campus. This role involves teaching Supply Chain Design and Management, Operations Management, Procurement, Project Management, Warehousing & Distribution courses in our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The successful person will also be required to supervise postgraduate students in their capstone Industry Projects.

He kōrero mōu: About you

Ideally, you will have spent time in both academia and industry and be able to bring to the classroom a combination of skills and experience that will benefit our students. You are a modern thinker, able to plan and stay ahead of trends, with a flair for leading and motivating those around you.

You'll have:

  • An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
  • Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
  • Minimum of a Masters' degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, or a closely related area
  • Experience in teaching at the post-graduate level
  • Industry or commercial experience is an advantage
  • Experience and expertise in areas including Supply Chain Design and Management, Operations Management, Procurement, Project Management, Warehousing & Distribution.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research - including evidence of research outputs.
  • Experience in the supervision of postgraduate students
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholder groups
