Te āheinga: The opportunity
As a Lecturer in Bridging Education, you will provide quality educational outcomes in literacy and numeracy and enhance student support and success. Bridgepoint's Kaupapa is to 'create pathways to success' for all our students. Our role is to provide our students with access and opportunity to develop real and authentic learning pathways that staircase them into higher education and ultimately employment.
As part of this fixed term role, you will lead both the teaching team and students to a better understanding of working alongside students with neurodiversity. This area will be a focus over the next two years in Bridging Education.
This is a fixed-term role with an end date of 12th of December 2025, working 15 hours per week.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You'll have:
- An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
- Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
- Experience in teaching students in the tertiary/secondary sector
- Experience in leading tutor professional development in working with Neurodiverse learners
- Strong student-centered focus with an interest in working with neurodiverse learners
- Experience in developing innovative and contextualised programs or courses
- A positive and flexible approach to problem-solving in the work environment
- Team player with a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to collaborate
- Knowledge of relevant software packages Microsoft office/ Moodle and a willingness to learn new technology
- A reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement and growth
