Position Overview

Are you looking for the opportunity to work in an interesting and dynamic workplace? 

Tātai Angitu, Massey University is seeking an experienced, passionate and adaptable Professional Learning and Development Literacy facilitator to join our Literacy@Massey team delivering targeted literacy PLD support and consultancy to school leaders and kaiako. This role requires knowledge, expertise and experience of theoretical and practical approaches to support reading and literacy practice. The successful candidate will work in partnership with kaiako and ākonga to increase literacy achievement from years 1 – 8.

If you have -

  • A sound understanding of effective literacy teaching and learning practice particularly from years 1 -8;
  • Expert knowledge of how to raise achievement in meaningful and contextualised ways;
  • The ability to work respectfully and effectively in partnership with kaiako to deliver PLD that builds teacher capability; and
  • Are able to contribute to a Te Tiriti led organisation

Appointment will be for a fixed term of 12 months at 0.6fte (22.5 hrs per week). Start date and salary to be negotiated.  While this role is based in Auckland, some national travel is required to fulfill contractual obligations.
