We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Engineer to join our IT Team. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will provide in house technical expertise and support for Scion's Infrastructure, systems, applications, and end-user services. Supporting the wider team with IT related projects and proving excellent customer services to Scion stakeholders are also an important part of this role.

 The role is a permanent position, located at our Rotorua office. Working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

 About you:

  • You will be tertiary qualified in Information Technology, Business or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role
  • Able to demonstrate skills across a range of IT Systems and Infrastructure
  • Experience delivering and/or leading IT related projects
  • A commitment to quality customer service with a passion to help others
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate well into layman's terms

 In addition, you should have:

  •  In depth experience and knowledge managing and installing Windows server and Linux environments.
  • Experience and knowledge of VMware, backup solutions, and network storage
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security practices
  • Experience and knowledge of firewall, routing and switching
  • Experience with the management and maintenance of Office 365, Defender, Azure and AWS platforms and services.
