The Role / Te mahi

Right now we have the ability to offer two roles for motivated and skilled graduates to gain some exciting IT infrastructure experience helping to craft the design of one the largest IT sites in New Zealand.

This will be a valuable experience for you and will help to set the direction for your IT career into the future. Interested?

This position is designed to provide recent graduates with the chance to assist and support our Infrastructure team, making a cool contribution to the future direction of the University’s information technology estate.

Due to the varied nature of this internship opportunity, the day-to-day tasks will vary depending on the different projects and activities the team is engaged in.  Some of these tasks will include:
•    Helping to triage support requests, making sure they have the right level of detail; and in some cases, rolling   up your sleeves and helping solve those for our customers.
•    Working alongside our teams to help complete BAU activities such as consolidating printer queues or gathering information to help scope an upgrade.
•    Working on small projects such as migrating between software platforms.
•    Testing out our documentation and helping fill in the gaps to make sure that people have the right information they need to do their jobs.

Skills and experience / Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

To be successful as a IT Intern you will have:
•    Obtained an IT related degree or relevant IT credentials.

These roles are full-time (37.5 hours a week) fixed term (to 31 January 2025) positions, located in Dunedin. 

The appointment range for this position is $59,285 to $63,651 per annum.
