INTERNATIONAL OFFICE

•    Make an important contribution to the University of Otago’s international academic offerings.
•    Full-time, permanent position based in Dunedin.
•    Salary + 6.75% superannuation + five weeks' annual leave.

Te mahi/The role

This position will work on the development of a range of new academic programmes in conjunction with key international partners.  

Success in this role will require you to work with our Academic Divisions and Departments in a constructive and innovative way. 

Kā pūkeka me kā wheako/Your skills and experience

You will have prior experience working in an education development or business development role, with proven success in client management. You will also have the ability to work in a multi-cultural work setting and ideally will have worked in a tertiary education setting previously.

You will be committed to a service culture and be able to respond promptly to client’s needs. 

Your communication skills will be first class, and you will be able to anticipate problems and proactively resolve them.

Successful candidates will bring an ability to build and manage relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. 

Mō te tīma/About our Team 

The International Programmes Development Team sits within the International Office, which is part of the University’s External Engagement Division.

The International Programmes Development Team was established as part of the University’s recently approved International Recovery and Reset Plan and plays a pivotal role as Otago reengages with the world and rebuilds its international student cohort. 

Pūroko/Further details 

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent role, located in Dunedin. Applications for part-time hours may be considered – please make your preference clear in your covering letter.

Flexible working arrangements including work from home will be considered in accordance with the university’s policy. Occasional work outside of normal working hours may be required.

The appointment range for this position is $70,602 to $76,668 per annum.
