Position Overview

The People and Culture team at Massey University supports the University’s goal of enabling excellence, by providing Massey people and our people leaders with practical and easily accessible human resource tools and support.

We are looking forward to 2022 and it is going to be an exciting year in our people capability space and have a number of upcoming projects that call for a range of skills multiple areas of our People and Culture team including;

  • HR administration and coordination
  • HR advisory and business partnering
  • HRIS specialists
  • Employment Relations
  • Business Analysts
  • Organisational Change

If you are ready to take a new direction, we are looking for HR Professionals who have a high level of confidentially and enjoying contributing positively to a team environment. 


  • Tertiary qualification HR or Business Administration
  • Engaged with the Te Tiriti o Waitangi-led direction of the University and embrace the principles of Te Ao Māori
  • Thrive on juggling competing priorities and operating with a high level of autonomy and self-direction
  • Initiative and ability to operate with a level of independence while keeping connected with colleagues
  • Previous HRIS, employment agreement, payroll or generalist HR experience will be advantageous
  • Proficient in Te Reo Māori (preferred)
