The Head of Campus and Facilities is responsible for providing the strategic and operational leadership across Campus and Facilities to meet the vision, purpose and effective operation of Scion campuses.
This hands-on role, for an experienced leader, will directly contribute to the achievement of Scion's strategy by effectively developing master planning and accurate asset management and facilities records to lead and deliver the Campus and Facilities investment portfolio.
This opportunity calls for a seasoned professional who is excited about finding solutions and has the energy and tenacity to effectively marry Scion's objectives with the needs of our multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Key accountabilities:
- Lead the strategic and operational function of the campus, facilities, infrastructure of Scion owned and leased properties and buildings to ensure continuous operations, fit for purpose function and optimisation of use and investment.
- Facilitate the effective Portfolio and Programme Management of facilities and infrastructure improvements and redevelopment projects.
- Lead the compliance of Scion owned and leased assets to ensure continuous operations.
- Enable the capability planning and prioritisation of the facilities team resources in delivering the Campus and Facilities portfolio and science equipment installation and support.
- Maintain strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders including tangata whenua, lessors, tenants, local and regional authorities, contractors, and consultants.
- Monitor and report on strategic and operational KPIs and expenditure budgets on a monthly basis.
We seek a thought leader who has demonstrated ability to think strategically and has:
- A recognised business-related qualification in management, commence, building, facilities or related area.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a commercial / business environment.
- Proven experience of strategic and operational planning and portfolio and programme management.
- Experience in campus, assets, facilities or infrastructure management in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven ability to effectively manage staff.
- Strong organisational skills, can-do attitude and proactive approach, with focus on problem ownership and resolution.
- Proven ability to effectively manage and close deals with external parties.
- Proven communication and collaboration skills leading to effective relationships with customers, contractors and service providers.
- Excellent record keeping and proficiency in computer use and smart systems.
