Faculty Finance Administrator
Mō te tūka | The role
Provide effective and timely financial support for the Faculty research projects, student scholarships and Postgraduate finance.
Based in our Faculty of Agriculture & Life Sciences, some of the key tasks of the role include:
- Setting up finances for new projects.
- Checking research reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
- Reconciling income.
- Salary recoveries and overheads prior to closing old projects.
- Provide support for postgraduate finances.
This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus.
Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Five or more years of financial experience relevant to the role.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and solving financial and reporting queries.
- Experience with financial software and electronic ordering systems.
- Intermediate skills using PC based software packages, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word and other databases.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintaining effectiveness when faced with the demands of variable workloads and/or tight deadlines.
