The opportunity / Te Whiwhinga mahi

NMIT is looking for a Digital Workplace Advisor whose role is to strengthen our digital capability and culture by embedding the use of digital workplace tools across the Institute. As subject matter expert of Microsoft 365 systems you will provide advice and support to staff relating to their interaction with digital workplace tools. You will also assist with the development and delivery of customised training in relation to other digital workplace tools to raise team capabilities and improve user experiences that allow teams to 'work smarter not harder'. 

The key responsibilities for the role are to:

  • Continually look for areas for business process improvements and facilitate the implementation of digital workplace solutions as needed.
  • Plan and deliver a variety of in-person and online training solutions for staff to embed the use of digital workplace tools.
  • Develop learning and support content for digital workplace systems and tools.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate you meet the requirements outlined in the job description in relation to essential experience, training and skills.

It is essential that you can show you have:

  • high digital literacy including a good understanding and utilisation of modern applications
  • a good understanding of Microsoft 365 tools to be able to train user 
  • proven experience writing, developing and delivering training material and are able to demonstrate the ability to present technical ideas clearly 
  • the ability to work independently, display initiative and exercise judgement to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • a confident interpersonal manner with proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
