Customer Services & Māori Collections Assistant
Provide customer service and content description support in our campus library and manage our Ngā Kete e Toru collection and study space.
Mō te tūka | The role
The Customer Services and Māori Collections Assistant provides Lincoln University students and staff with access to collections and services that support their learning, teaching and research success.
Based in our Learning, Teaching & Library team, you will be providing excellent customer service providing support for the Customer Service Desk, content description support for digital collections especially involving Mātauraka Māori material, as well as holding the primary responsibility for the Ngā Kete e Toru collection.
This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week including one evening per week during term time based at our Lincoln Campus. The remuneration range is set at $60,000 - $65,000 per annum.
Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A Library qualification or tertiary degree + suitable experience in academic libraries (preferred), or
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in Libraries.
- Sensitivity to the bicultural needs of users and to LTL's commitment to biculturalism
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and a flexible, helpful, and professional attitude.
