Te āheinga: The opportunity

Unitec is currently recruiting for a casual Technician to join our science laboratories. The main responsibility for this role is to assist our technical team with practical activities, including lab setup, pack-down after the lab session, and maintaining the Science laboratory environment. You will also contribute to assisting the technical team with chemical and asset management.

You'll have:

• An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
• Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
• Have strong organisational and time management skills.
• Flexible working arrangements and available to be on campus when assistance is required.
• A valid driver's licence (restricted or full).

You will be located at our beautiful green campus in Mt Albert, Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity for you to acquire some practical and technical experiences at laboratories in working with a motivated technical team led by the values of Te Noho Kotahitanga.
